Does anyone know what the noise limits at Spa are? Do Cerberas usually have a problem (mine's standard with decat, but really rather loud)

There were none on the trackday I went on last year.

Decats and Sports pipes. Took silencers with me though just incase.

How effective are the silencers in your experience? Enough to slip under the 105db threshholds at the noisier UK trackdays?

I should really get mine properly tested. I've only put it off because Knockhill has such a laid-back attitude to noise.

From info I have found previously they can drop about 5dB. I think decats and Sports pipes are 110 to 112dB so not going to get you onto Goodwood for example.

Another trick is limit your engine revs when you get tested... wink

"Honest she only revs to a 5000 red line. laugh

My 2.5" system/ACT silencers brought my car down from 109dba to about 100dba. Havent tested the ACT 3" system/3" silencers yet.

Loaned the silencers to a number of Cerb owners on the Cerburgring last year as the noise police wouldnt let them on track (nothing to do with the RAF roundels wink) and everyone got on track (apart from TC who had some girly tail pipes that the silencers wouldnt fit)

usually 110, to 120. we even had 130 days! I ran mine there with a full bore race system on at 128. they came over to see what it was (there was an ultima that was about the same with us) but didn't complain.

I've never had any TVR even tested there as you'll find race cars testing/playing on the same track. The only track where I've never seen a meter!

take some cans, but you won't need them!
