It's partly the way the hand brake works and partly the fact the lever is high up that makes it tricky to get a good brake on.

You can get your dealer to look at it but they can only do so much and it'll soon loosen up again.

You'll just have to learn the old "3 pedal shuffle" if you're stuck in a traffic jam on a hill. Or you could try some extra weight training on your left arm
