I've just replaced all the heavy gauge earth wiring, and was so pleased with the neat job I did soldering up and heatshielding the cables, that I just kept going. So now I've added an extra three, yes, count them, three, earth cables.

The old set-up ran a single cable to a bolt on the chassis, from where there's a cable that goes to the engine, and a second which diappears into the bulkhead, presumably to somewhere near the starter motor.
Now, I've run a additional one straight from the battery to the body of the starter motor, one under the airbox to the airbox bracket, and a third, parrallel one to the chassis pick-up point.

Go on, fail now. I dare you.

It's a TVR.

Sods Law says that the battery lug will probably break on you now.
