At long lasted, sorted out my Wipers, can you spot the difference?

Although the Wipers always worked fine when it was raining, Often when I did a wash/wipe, as soon as the screen got dry, they would just stick half way across the screen.
The single wiper, now even perfectly even on a dry screen, it works better when it's wet, theres no diference in visibilty, and I guess another advantage is that the motor should will last a lot longer as it isn't struggling anymore.

Just thought I'd 'Share' this amazing technologiacal breakthrough with you smile

How does it meet MOT tests though?

Alan, will that pass its next MOT like that...I guess not!

So you'll be fitting it back on for MOT time!

Interesting, so why did you go for the single wiper?

Just had my wiper park switch changed been playing up for ages, now I have decent wipers.

I'll just put it back n for the MOT - It just seems to work better with a single Wiper, especially when I just use the Wash/Wipe and the screen gets dry - Try it, you may be surprised. The passenger side wiper only clears a tiny little bit of the screen anyway.

That sounds like a good idea I dont think I have used my wipers in the rain (dry use only) but sometimes they are needed for clearing bugs and they are pretty crap at that. I will give this a shot!

I have the same problem now (wipers don't have enough grunt) and I have new motor, arms, wipers, windscreen, the lot. I have improved it by tightening the nuts that screw down to the bodywork on the pivots, but I don't consider the problem fixed. I think it might be alignment-related but am going to try some lubrication first. Not sure what the mot rules are re one wiper - who says the passenger needs to see?

I have had a new wiper park switch in my tool box for nearly a year. Does anyone have a photo of where it goes! I gues it's somwhere between the bulkhead and the fuel rack (4.5)?

It Clips onto the Wiper Motor itself - if you peer down at the wiper motor it's on the RH side (as you look at it) if your very, very, very lucky, you can 'flick' it out without removing the Wiper Motor.
