I am currently looking into the viabilities of
staging a TCR Cerbera track day and require your feed back.

This is the first in a series of polls which will be
held on a temporary site until the new TCR site is
completed.

Please vote at The Cerbera Register Poll

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Graham,

would love to come. However my insurance is through Mannings so I can only go on TVRCC trackdays or I have no insurance!!

Not sure if you would get the numbers either as most TVR track days have to have imposters in westfields, porkers etc to make the numbers up and make it viable. Doubt you would be able to raise more than 10/15 cerbies.

OOPS! - will go to ypour site and vote!!!

Thanks for the quick feedback Alistair.

Testing the water here, certainly would not happen
this year, but since we have 51 Cerbera owners in
just a few weeks with just the mentions on these great
pages and all without any mailing, so who knows how
many we will have, say in six months?

If TCR took off enough, we maybe be able to speak with
the TVRCC and see how we got on.

Like I say, early days, but just keen to see what others think?

I feel it would be a great chance to compare the
S6, 4.2, 4.5, RR's etc all at the same time and check out mods etc.

Sorry folks, seems the first board of mine has a problem I need to resolve.

For now, I have placed the poll on an Ice Hockey board of mine.

My apologies for messing you around.

As I mentioned before the all new TCR site will have
all this housed with in.

Please vote away at The Cerbera Register Poll

Anymore going to vote?

Must be more than 9 owners that want to do a Cerbera only track day?!

You can hardly compare the performance on track, the driver makes far more difference. How have you been on a normal TVRCC day? There's generally quite a few Cerberas, e.g. the City region at Snett. Or, why don't you just all agree on a www.bookatrack.com date?

I'm guessing ex-Cerbera owners are welcome right?

Hi Danny

Everyone would be welcome.

Right now I am just bouncing around ideas.

The comparisons could come by way of maybe a few
owners swapping cars or perhaps having a few dealer
cars that could be used in a controlled environment.

Like I say, these are all early ideas and we may indeed
have to tie in with a recognised or TVRCC event, if
only for insurance reasons.

So any comments, suggestions, thoughts are very welcome.

I would say it's a very bad idea to swap cars on a track day, unless it's a good friend who you know can afford to replace the car with no tears!

Not all insurance is tied to TVRCC, quite often it will to ATDO (Association of Track Day Organisers). Some guys on the Tuscan list have organised a few Tuscan days, you should ask there, and or on the Trackdays forum. But the easiest is probably getting a bunch of people together and talking to Bookatrack or some other company. They often have club session, e.g. Honda R, or MR2 club etc.

PS For all those of you with loud exhausts and the like, how about the unlimited noise, full GP track day at Donington on Sept 24th? Will be a fantastic day I'm sure!

Yep, agree with Danny that lending your car to a friend can result in all manner of apologies and tears, unless the owner then goes on to do more damage later in the day
If you're short of numbers I would love to come along, then I can offer advice later on how to make your cerbies as fast as my V8S. Actually this might work quite well 'cos Danny will get to drive the S then - bring it on

Julian, you would be just the sort of person we would want to be
there anyway, with your great knowledge, you would be
a major asset to the day.( I am sure it would also do your
business no harm at all. )

As for swapping cars, point taken, but even a straight
line 1/2 mile comparison run would help people decide
if their car needed some attention? Just an idea.

You have to be real careful that any activities cannot be construed as timing, racing etc as this will invalidate both participants and the organisers insurance. Running two cars up a sprint or fitting them with performance/timing gear is a no no.

Thanks Steve.
That was not the idea though, simply to do runs so
people could feel how another car pulls.

Might not be feasible, but just an idea.

have to agree with this, eh scotty!! remembering our trip to Nurburgring in Oct 2001 - I "clipped" a 911 in his Audi S3 (he closed the door on me, honest!). 2 laps later Scotty's looking at a DM3,000 bill for armco, and looking for a lift home...

sorry for being off thread, just made me chortle that's all...

cheers

The funniest thing was it was a loan car an the guy was on a test drive at The Ring!

You can imagine back at the dealer...."crazy English - I am driving at the Ring and they hit your loan car....ah.....eerr.......

I still think you should have gone halves in the excess......I guess giving me the keys for the donuts in your Cerbera at Le Mans covered it
