Hi All, as you know I've been doing a lot of work on my car of late. One of the changes is a new fuel pump.

Well, I've nearly got to the point of bleeding the brakes but thought I better just check the fuel pump primes up.

Well it doesn't!

Don't have any voltage at the pump.

Any suggestions please. It's due to go on a trailer to TSC tomorrow morning.

I've just about killed myself getting it ready and this is just about the last straw. weeping

Thanks

Tim

Don't know if it helps... But after my rear screen let water in, the ensuing water rotted the wiring harness behind the helmet holder, aswell as damaging the immobiliser .

Very low voltage (<10 IIRC) and the ECU won't enable the iginiton, fuel pump etc
And I think if the crank sensor is showing a fault you'll get the same result

Cut off valve on top of the tank not connected properly?

Have you connected up the laptop to see if the diagnostics show anything?

battery at 12v

Have just bled the brakes so it can at least come down from the axle stands.

Will go check the connecttion at the top of the tank, then plug the laptop in.

I had an immobilizer malfunction a few weeks ago which stopped the fuel pump from getting any power. I spoke to Carl Baker about it, and whilst he said that he had never seen a cerbera immobiliser circuit fail on the fuel pump circuit, thats definetly what happened to mine. Once I had the immobiliser circuit bypassed, the old girl fired up straight away.

I'd be going to the immobiliser first as well.
