Just sold my Cerbera to PHer spawn. Still looked good and sounded great as it was driven off. Good luck and enjoy.

Picked the car up from Paul today - Paul sorted me out with a tank of fuel to, much appreciated.

Drove home and..... I am very happy biggrin

Did around 70 - 80 miles and only used just over a 1/4 of a fuel which I was surprised at - I thought it would be more (it was motorway all the way home though)

managed to get home ok, got stuck in traffic and everything started to get a little hot at which point I thought I was going to have problems but managed to get off the motorway and it settled back down.

Before I got home mother heard me coming up the street :P the next challenge was getting the car in the garage, as I reversed mother shouted at me, as the exhausts were touching the floor (stupid design to have a raised garage!). So I now need to go and find some kind of ramp.

Handbrake pretty useless on it :P shall need to get that sorted.

Completely different to anything i've driven before. Took some getting used to on the way back, managed to stall once wink I don't know if this was down to my overly large work shoes but I managed to press the accelerator and brake at the same time at one point.

I shall certainly be taking it easy for a while smile going out for a meal tomorrow after work with colleagues, going to take my new purchase smile just to show it off smile

Happy Days

Wow even on those new Gaz Golds you can't get it in, Imagine what it was like for me on the old shocks, hence a reworked garage slope and floor. The handbrake was always stiff it hold it on the last notch, I just got used to leaving it in gear.

After I posted earlier I had a play about, it does hold on the last notch, just got to keep in gear (something I never really do so will have to get used to).

Speaking to my father and he says the chim is exactly the same. 2 hands at times to get it to hold biggrin

As for the garage, I was looking tonight and it's slightly steeper than yours is at the moment Paul.
Basically we have a long thin drain infront of a double garage. Its a lesser angle as it dips down, and then comes back up at a much steeper angle. Because the exhaust tips are so far from the wheels, the tips are catching the ground (where the slope goes up towards the garage) before the back wheels are anywhere near the drain cover (still on the slope down).

(Im sure that's a really really bad explanation.....)

Anyway, we now have two full sized doors (one snapped in two pieces which snapped on my first attempt to get in! laugh) which cover the dip in the surface and I went straight in biggrin the car is sitting in the garage right now which is a plus.

Full clean at the weekend providing the weather holds up and time for some pictures smile

Handbrake can be made to work if you are determined enough.

Fuel gauge has no reserve and not very accurate so watch out.

Welcome to the fold

I have been driving it this afternoon, getting a lot of attention smile

Starting to get used to it much more, found a decent seat position which has helped. Im quite far forward which makes life easier with the clutch but have the seat reclined somewhat which seems to suit me quite well.

Love it at the moment and absolutely love the noise.

Taking it up to my fathers at the weekend which will be a couple of hundred mile round trip so I guess that's the big test (more for me than the car).
I know the temp gauge is way off the mark, but it does seem to get rather hot when stationary for a relatively short period of time.. I'll do some research as I may just be going paranoid smile

Get it checked on a laptop. My guage is also way off.

Are the fans cutting in?

I havn't heard them tbh - checking this at the weekend to be sure. Although Paul had said both have been recently checked and working.

seemed fine today so I am putting this down to being stuck in traffic at the moment.

Hi,
Mine overheated ,while manouvering in a car park, had been fine in traffic jams etc until then.
Still stayed hot all the way home, wisps of steam from the coolant tank. Maybe coincidence, but I'd topped up the coolant just before going out , thought it was low, maybe I got it wrong !
Anyway hope the journey goes well, take care.

Cheers Allan

PS. That gauge was reported as reading 10 to 30 high, though the fans were coming on.

If I can see some water at the bottom of the expansion tank, that's enough for my car. Any more & it just throws it out.

I'm amazed how much the level goes up from cold to warm.
