Any ideas where I can get hold of a waterpump for a V8 4.2 Cerbera? In desperate need since the car is the evryday commute and the engine is out waiting for one. TVR Power dont have any after they thought they did have....any ideas?! TIA

Bell Hill / Douglas Valley breakers.

Bell Hill have on their ebay advert that they have over 100 tvr engines in stock, so I'm sure they'd be willing to sell you a pump off one of them.

I know second hand wouldnt be my preferred choice either, but needs must I suppose. I take it you've tried Racing Green (www.thetvrshop.com)?

Proving to be a massive issue. Its the impellor thats broken...is this a standard part form somewhere? Apparently the whole water pump unit is discontinued and anyone with one is holding on to it as a result! mad

Can you convert to an external electric pump?

The tree thing is a myth Russ but the whole car has changed to a beautiful moss green colour, loads better than that blue colour it once was, although it may turn out to be a tad slower.

Il look into that cheers! Apparently TVR Power 'have had one turn up' mysteriously....hmmm. Anyway that solves our problem for now. Might start a small business venture and get some of these disco ones and sell them off at a premium! biggrin

I thought that it was the PAS pump that was from there. The Disco one's I've found pictures of are huge, unles you rob the impeller of them?

Does seem odd to be a Disco' one, but I may be wrong.

Here's the PAS, oil and water pump assembly:

When I had my head gaskets done, TVR Power (when owned by TVR) charged me £529 to rebuild the oil pump, not that I asked them to.

Please don't tell me it's from A Discovery.

Nope not oil or Water the Power Steering pump. Pretty sure that's of landrover origin.

Hence the pain that is a failed PAS pump driveshaft as it's an easy part to find but the repair is a complete pig and engine out time.

The casting alone for the Water and Engine oil pumps, I'm sure are AJP specific.
