Please if any one has an idea what has gone wrong with the release button please advise. When car is unlocked no sound of button releasing but still moves in and out. I have heard there is another way to get into the boot but have not found the answer. Any advise will be very helpful as im now down to fumes in the petrol tank and need to fill her up.

Chris,

Email/post me some proof (scanned document or similar) of your Cerb ownership and I will call you and talk you through how to get into the car boot.

Obviously you'll understand exactly why this is a well kept secret and trust it'll stay that way for ALL Owners sakes.

And, as I've said before, once you know the "secret" way you should practice it every few months.

I had to use it a while back and, even though I know how to do it, I still struggled with it.

I know how but have not tried.. I hear it makes a nice bang as the windows do not drop in the usual way? does this ever cause any damage?

So glad all you owners are so cautious!
My dealer told be how to do it, but not even told my best friend yet!!

Has anybody done a mod to fit an extra button inside the car to pop the boot?
Would it be just run parallel wires from the exisiting switch?

Hi, have had lots of problems with doors boot etc! be carefull as the boot solinoid switch runs through the window conrtrol module which are a little sensitive and fail very easily!
The main problem with the boot release switch is water damage, the contacts corode but this is easily fixed with a new button. Look inside the boot behind the Cerbera badge and you will see a cut in the carpet which allows access to the swith/wiring.
Good luck.

Chris,
Did you manage to get into the car after the phone call?
