Hi all,

Bit of a knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock (....gets quiter..)-(speeds up a bit) knock-knock-knock- knock-knock-knock..(slows down a bit)-knock-knock-knock sound coming the above mentioned area. Could be related to acceleration ! Been there since I've owned it and doesn't seem to be causing any problems but fairly consistent on the last few drives and could spoil the fun if it continues or gets worse. Doesn't always happen. Maybe the weather ? Any ideas anyone ?

Simple thing first?

Check your wheel nuts are tight!

Thanks for replies all. Sounds like the near side I think .

Will check wheel nuts. + it literally sounds like the bodywork being knocked.

i had similar noise, you can only hear it when coasting and it increases with speed, if you apply light pressure to the brakes it goes?

brake calipers i was told, and nothing to worry about - if that's what it is of course.

My money would be on brake pads too.

Had something similar on mine, whip the pads out and put them back with a fine smear of silicone on the back of the pad cured it fine.

I used to have that. Sent it in 3 or 4 times to fix without joy...reskimmed disks etc...

Then all of a sudden one day it went...go figure?

When I had a similar noise, it was the diff bolts working themselves loose, so i'd recommend checking it out thoroughly...
