Hi everyone, I have been lurking for quite some time in this forum but not until know I have found a good reson for a first post...

Today my old Ford Escort 1.4 got replaced with something more fun... a 2000 Cerbera 4.5

Since the weather was lovely I had to snap a few pics in the sunshine.

I must admit it feels quite strange to have 420 bhp instead of 75 to play with, hopefully I will get used to it soon.
Other things I will have to get used to is the clutch and that the indicator is on the right side.
So in other words it will be like learning to drive again.

Hi Johan, congratulations on the purchase, looks great!

I've found that keeping my left hand glued to the gear-stick (not putting any pressure on it, though)/clinging on to the left of the tunnel to get support whilst cornering means that the right hand's the only one free to indicate. My only problem's been continually cleaning the windscreen when wanting to turn a corner in the daily runabout!

Very nice car!

And you're right - 75bhp to 420 is a bit of jump

I hope to do the same as you very soon...just as soon as I can find one that is......

Mark, it is quite funny that where the old car topped out I still have one gear to go...

Nice car Johan, is it the one that was at Dream Machines?

Escort --> Cerbera is quite an upgrade. I'm sure I don't need to say this, but I will anyway, but take it easy until you get used to the extra power.

Have fun.

Neil.

Gorgeous car, great pics.

Thought about getting a sticker on the back for those you've just blown into the weeds saying 'You know when you've been Tangoed!'?

Ok maybe not.

Nice car.

But surely at least two more gears to go unless your Escort topped out at 150.....

Yep, that's the colour - I believe, maybe wrongly, that it's a Lamborghini colour.

The Lamborghini orange is more pale, have seen it on a Tuscan a few weeks ago.

You what? Who the hell thinks up these colour names? Orangio Pearl.... what purplely starmist or reddy metallic or Bluple pearl..... and you know what, they probably spend ages working it out....
