It's electronic and the sensor picks up on a toothed wheel on the diff. Sensor posibly needs adjusting to the right gap or maybe even changing. Is speedo reading erratic as well as never above 30?
Cheers guys, I just called the owner wo said it's working - the garage who serviced it said it wasn't so either they had an intermittent problem or something. I asked the owner if he got it fixed anywhere else and he seemed unaware there was a prob......
Hi, how much work is it to adjust the sensor? i have had a quick look but i'm asuming it needs to be on a ramp! Has anyone done the job without one? Thanks.
I managed to adjust mine just on axle stands, but would not bother again.
Took a few hours along with getting cr*p in eyes and very aching neck, also the size spanners required to undo and adjust have no room to move due to chassis and other parts in the way.
The sender on my last Cerb packed up and stopped reading after 20 miles - I got it changed at Central TVR - took about 30 mins and cost about £50.00 as I recall
