i was going to go the bike route, even had bought some cables in place but the orginal had started to split etc, and didnt want to risk there being shards in the outer so had to bite the bullet!

Good grief! How can you maintain this level of celibacy?

Yeah but which bike cable, and how do you order it to get the right length of inner and outer?

I just went in to a bike shop.Bought a cable for the rear brake.Pulled at the old one,and the frayed bit from the top.Matched them up.Cut the new nylon coated cable to size.Fitted a stop to the end.clamped the leaver over which the cable rides in.Job done.

i have to admit its been a hard five months, but it was taken off the road in nov for winter, so luckily there hasnt been many good days for a hoon over the last few months!!!

the last journey was to exeter to have some new stainless centre pipes fitted under warranty as the last ones got themselves a hole!! stainless as well!!

so it kindly rewarded me by snapping the throttle cable just as i got it into the garage!!

she then kindly rewarded me again in feb when i was going to run her up by the battery going duff, even with an accumate on it!!! so entail even more fun of finding a bateryt that fitted (this was after having to rescue my house keys from inside as it decided to lock itself (about a 1" gap in the window) before i could even attempt the secret way in etc!!) when i was seeing why it woudlnt turn over!!!)
