Bonnet Lock problem
Discussion
Help! I need some advice please.
I leave Cerbie on trickle charge all the time. I used her yesterday, no problem at all. When I got home, I couldn't release the bonnet lock (there is some resistance but it continually turns so I assume something may have come loose).
So, I tought I'd drive her today to keep the battery charged, but there is very little go in it - turns over but does not start.
I've opened both windows to allow access to the car.
If I can open the bonnet I can charge her up, or if there is another way to charge her up I can drive her to a garage on Saturday.
Any ideas (bearing in mind I'm no mechanic!). Many thanks, Dave

Dave,
I assume you're connecting the trickle charger directly to the battery?
You know you can put the cigarette lighter adaptor on a trickle charger and charge it though the cigarette lighter. The feed is continuous and a day or so on charge will have her back on the button.
Shout if I'm not being clear.
Cheers
Rob

Just replyed on the Chatsworth thread.
Dave,
On the knob to open the bonnet there is a little grub screw, loosen this off using a 5mm Allen key, this screw can work it's way in a little and locks the knob in position, it can be a bugger to get the key in but just needs a half a turn usually to be able to turn the knob again, it is fairly common on the Cerb for this to happen, may not be that but is a free try for you.
