Al,

I understand why you have closed the thread.

But, with respect the discussions in the Photography forum is with regard to images.

But, my thread was primarily aimed at text content, as that is where the 'valuable' information is in this forum.

All advise and help, is now owned and can be freely used and more importantly sold, by Haymarket.

This is a fantastic site, full of knowledgable, helpful people. It would be a crying shame if some of those people thought twice about posting in case their 'words of wisdom' cropped up in the 'Haymarket, little book of the Cerbera', without credit or recompence to the original author.

That was the point I was making, and one that I feel every poster should consider.

Also, some will view this as very important. Some of us do not visit all the fora, I would never have seen the 'photography' thread.

Yep OK fair comment, I was only looking at it from a photo POV.

I'll re-open and stick it in Gen TVR then it'll be a catchall and serve all the TVR marques. smile

I'll delete this one accordingly.

I agree, I would not have seen it, if it weren't for Tims post.

Maybe if the mods don't want us to add to it, it can just be made a sticky for people to be aware of, before it drops off the page and forgotten.

I agree and actually do read the photography forum but evidently not closely enough to have spotted that thread...

Tim has hit the nail on the head about posters being wary about publishing information lest it pop up in a future Haymarket publication. The beauty of this site is that by natural evolution of its content, it acts as a single truth (as much as there ever can be one with TVRs) for those of us who aren't naturally into tinkering with the cars and it would be a shame if that truth became diluted.

I guess most of the tinkerers here are enthusiasts and amateur mechanics, so the cost to them of having their work plagiarised wouldn't necessarily be monetary but rather the pride that come from hours of head scratching, cursing, blood, sweat and tears which to me for one carries a lot more value.

The ultimate solution would be to take all further information to a different site that doesn't impose such restrictions.

Exactly, and beautifully expressed. bow
