Hi

Just about to do my oil change. Can anyone tell me how much oil the 4.5 holds from empty?

Think it's 5.5 litres.

thats what the guy in the shop said too.

Also when looking at the sump there appears to be 2 sump plugs? one towards the back and one towards the front. are they both doing the same job?

You have to use the one at the back. The one at the front holds all the demons in.

Undo that one and they'll escape and go on a rampage... apparently it's a nightmare to get them all back in!!

Well i undid both and the same sort of stuff came out, oily black sorta stuff.
No demons though?

I presume you have the right torque settings from the manual for reassembly?

The owners manual on my 4.2 says 6 litres

My spanner was set to 'tight' when i did them back up.
Still dont know why there are 2 though?
