I have just purchased a 2003 Cerbera Speed six, all has been fine but suddenly it has very stiff steering and pulls when you turn, day before yesterday was bad, yesterday was Ok and today is bad again. Fluid looks fine, no leaks. Has anyone seen this before, any thoughts?

Or replacing altogether...

Take the front right (driver side) wheel off - you'll be able to see the problem UJ there...

Thanks for that, makes sense, I will have a look in the morning. The car only has 13,000mls on it and done almost none in the last year so these kind of problems don't surprise me too much when now I am using it!

The problem may also be caused by the steering rack needing to be greased.

I posted these pictures about a year ago when I did this job on my car and it's been prefect since.

Here's the pictures of where to grease the steering rack .....

This is what you need to locate and the two 13mm bolts that need to be opened are arrowed

These are the bits that need to be removed CAREFULLY

And the grease goes in here

Hopefully this will help.

Just for my info are these photo's from under the car? I used to build steering gears for a living and know the rack bearing area well. Usually it doesn't end up dry (maybe the grease wasn't applied in the frst place)
Mine seems to turn no probs especially with power assist but just to bring it off centre sometimes is very stff.
I tried lubricating the UJ today but didn't test drive due to snow/rain/hail and roads covered in salt! Thanks for comments

No.

They are taken from above with the panel between the engine and the radiator removed.
