Still being new to the world of Cerbera's I am not sure what is considered OK or not! When driving normally my temp gauge indcates 70ish and is nice and consisent, if I push hard it goes up a bit but not much at all. However, today I was stuck in very slow traffic for maybe 10mins and the gauge kept on going up and up reaching over 100 by the time I got moving again. Soon after moving on back up to 60+ it came back down to normal. Any ideas?

Also, when I check the temperature at the ECU it's usually 10deg lower than the dash gauge.

well when the gauge was working, it was the same, used to run +100 in traffic, would get a bit panicky when there was heavy traffic, but it never actually over heated.

Thanks to all, I think I get a bit over worried becuase of the 'stories' but so far my car seems great. Not my daily driver and never will do much more than 5K a year but my plan is to drive it and enjoy it as often as I can- thanks again!

Mine runs at 80deg with the new rad and 90 with the old one. In traffic it will always go to 100 or above but the fans regulate it well. No over heating yet. I am considering an over ride switch though.

Same here. 80 to 85 running and over 100 siting in traffic.

I have let the car idle and checked that both fans come on.
So I think mine is down to the capillary tube heating while stationary.

Best £65 i've spent on the car was Jools's (Trackcar) cooling chip. Temp runs lower and is no longer a worry. See his website on his profile.

I probably should have mentioned that my car is a speed six, not sure if that makes a difference to the temperature it should run, but thanks again to all who helped sleep easier last night!

Mine is 80ish when driving, 90ish in traffic.

I use my car daily so I have been stuck in traffic on many occasions, then it seem to cycle around going up to 100 then down to 95 back up to 100 down to 95 in 5 minute intervals.
