When digging around earlier I spotted a loose cable from the ECU. I have an MBE with three cables. Two disappear behind the trim but a small two wire cable is laying loose. I can see the other side of the connector attached to the loom. Does anyone know what this cable does? Should I reconnect it or was it disconnected for a reason?

Hi !

The cable is for connection to a fault code reader. It should be left not connected if You don´t have a faultcode reader.

Thanks. Is it possible to get a fault code reader that would work with this old MBE ECU?

I think the fault code readers was special made for TVR. Seems as most people use the computer software instead.
