hi there chaps. m after picking some brains..
I purchased a raceproved clutch unit and raceproved slave cylinder for my P reg 97 4.2 TVR cerbera, spent the day watching my friend strip the old clutch to find out that the slave cylinder doesnt fit into the bell housing as the old one did. it goes into position fine but the original one sat proud on the inside by about 5mm, the new one is about 10mm shorter so doesnt extend out of the inside of the bell housing at all so wouldnt actually reach the new clutch. i'm wondering if maybe the wrong part was sent? any ideas ??
many thanks.

IIRC - early Cerb's needed to have the later Bell housing fitted. Ring Race Tech on Monday they should be able to confirm.

You will probably also need a new flywheel, as the recess into which the clutch fits is deeper in the new ones.

Once thats done you won't need a new bellhousing. Just chamfer the heads of the allen bolts that hold the clutch to the flywheel so that they don't foul the inside of it.

Been there etc...!

Andy.
