Mine's at APM at the moment for a rebuild! Should be picking up next week.

He did say he was looking for a change of work as he had done so many rebuilds recently.

Are you guys having anything special done or just a standard rebuild? Do you have 4.2 or 4.5 and how many miles have you done?

Mine has been suffering worn valve guides & running badly. Just over 50k miles. 4.5
Thought I'd get it sorted out & nicely refreshed for summer

Mine has previous had sticking valves and was burning and leaking oil.

Unfortunately Andy found the heads and manifolds needed replacing but the rest was fine.

It is a 4.2 with 60k miles.

Should we be starting a self help group for AJPs needing rebuilds?

Why is it a pain to run in? You're not nursing it are you?

I'm just going by the owners book. Says not to exceed 3000 rpm for the first 850 miles. Then up to 2000 miles you can slowly start to use the whole rev range.
