Valve clearances

What should the valve clearances be on a 4.5? Do you set the cam lobe oposite the valve stem before checking? Do you check with the engine hot or cold? Is there a workshop manual I can download from somewhere?

Cold and yes with the lobe fully opposite.

Don't know the clearancs off the top of my head.

AJP 4.5 Valve clearance. Inlet 8 thou. Exhaust 10 thou.

Thanks for the information. I have checked the clearences on the left hand bank and they appear to go E I E I then I E I E from the pully end. Is that correct?
