Door problems

Passenger door will not open when button pressed! It will open from inside. Secondly, the drivers window does not go down when opening the door! Any ideas please? Thanks.

Hi, does it open if you press the internal button? prob damp/corrosion in the connector inside the door, if both buttons don't work poss the control box.

Yes it does open with the internal button. Could be damp as it was washed a few days ago! Will it dry out and return to normal?

It may, but it's not a big job to take the door card off, clean the terminals, lubricate the runners and replace. More chance of it not happening again that way!

When lubing the runners (ooer missus!), whats the best to use WD40, silicone spray or grease?

I've tried all 3 - Silcone spray is fantastic for about 2 days - a good Grease is best, and 3-1 Oil with PTFE seems to last pretty well too.
