Can someone please tell me what the purpose of having two different types of head stud nuts on the V8 are?I'm wondering why the larger sized inner ones are 'blind' and tall,compared to the more conventional and 'open'smaller ones?scratchchin

Sometimes blind heads are used to stop oil working its way up through the threads.

Just a thought.
