Hi

Is there an O-Ring behind the housing of the oil filler elbow or the usual mastic silicon stuff ?

Was looking at checking the slack on timing chain this weekend, but don't fancy having to make a mad dash out for a sealer that i could have got in before hand if its needed.

Why not just get the sealer anyway?

Surely you'll use it again even if you don't need it this time.

Very true, is there a specific type to go for apart from having to withstand heat and oil contamination.

I usually have a tube of gasket maker sealant and it seems to do anything I need it for.
