Hum - it's not a million miles away from me at the moment at Bourton on the water. Do you think they'd let me go and photograph it? biggrin

Hmmmm, I note I didn't win the lottery (again mad ) last night, so they'll just have to keep it garaged nice and securely for me until I do win!

Cheers,

Much as I would love this car (and lack of cash notwithstanding) this part however really goes to show just how mad an ownership proposition it really is:

"The car has been used about 5 times - The drive through London (where it made the 6 O'clock ITN National news) on the way to the Sony (Polyphony) Gran Turismo 4 launch (Sony based all of the visuals and sound of the car on this Speed 12), the test that was done by EVO magazine, the drive up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with Tiff Needal driving."

To even try to use the thing is by all accounts a righteous chore hence the "used about 5 times" thing.. just bonkers. I'm TVR all the way but for the money they will want for this (£160k+ I think) there are way more attractive propositions out there that you could actually use.

No one will buy it. It's not worth £160,000.00 in any event and it is just a waste of money.

How many times, how many ways and for how long has the current owner been selling it? How many times has it failed to reach its reserve/attract a bid at auction?

It has been said countless times before on this site and by Peter Wheeler when it was mooted that it is undriveable.

I have said before that you have to warm the oil before you start it for about 30 minutes. How do you do that outside a restaurant after dinner?

Did Mr Wheeler not used to have to open the door at traffic lights to let the heat out? Very practical!

Where are you going to get any parts for it?

This 825bhp business has been quoted before, but has anyone ever verified any acceleration or top speed figures.

How much grip does it really have? Enough for the performance?

It certainly is a niche market thats for sure, for that money your talking LP640 - real world performance pretty much the same but the LP is soooo much more usable.

RE the oil heating, I guess it would need a completely new engine to avoid this??
