The search function isn't working at the moment, so a quick question on recharging the aircon: Will I be ok taking the Cerb to a non TVR garage to get the system recharged, is there anything special about TVR's air conditioning components?

Thanks

Nowt special. I went to a local garage last year and got the full service and refill for about £50. You will need to tell them that you need 950grams for the fill I think.

just re-gassed mine and after reading through previous posts i settled for 750g. during the course of repairing the system i tried various amounts between 600g and 1000g, seemed to work fine at all the variables in between but settled for 750

Kwik Twit did mine at the weekend. Plugged in some fancy gizmo that runs a 20 min check, drain and refill. Probably the same gizmo they all use?

I need to check the paperwork now to see how much went in.

Cost £36 (with a 10% discount voucher wink) and dont charge if they make less than a 10% improvement or some such.

Except when I got home I noticed the little valve was stuck a little and some of the gas has come back out, so going back for a free refill.

Nice and cold now smile

ETA: Found the report...sucked out 685g and put back in 850g

Excellent news, thanks all! Better get it done tomorrow, the missus and I are heading to Chatsworth on Sunday. Can bet there will be a point where it gets hot in the car and she'll ask for the Air Con to be put on. If it doesn't work I'll get the 'there's always something that doesn't work with your cars' quote!!
