Cerbs at Chatsworth
Discussion
Popped up to have a look. Lots of chaved up TVRs for some reason.
Many of the cerbs looked great as did the Sagaris'.
Didnt see any of the southern guys there.
Felt tempted to ask James Agger to find me a cerb or a Sagaris but I must save money for the house refurb !
The cerbs are one special car. Only the Sagaris makes a similar impact.
Even the Lambo that arrived at 2.30 didnt show them up.

We came up from Kent and were really impressed by the turnout. Had a great drive up there in fine weather, 210 miles. Met some friends of ours who had come down from York, looked around the house etc while it was raining, then looked at the cars when it brightened up.
It was good to meet Simon, who had only just picked up his Cerb from Fernhurst, sounded like he was enjoying his weekend!
All in all, an excellent TVR day!

Gary a Sag????? What are you even thinking of man
There was a period where I did quite like the looks of the Sag but now I just see them as TVR's very own version of a ricer. Get yourself another Cerb man, not only is it the choice of a classier chap, you can pick up a perfectly good car for sub £15k which will still see you £20k to stick into your house. Everyone's a winner.

Sadly no there was nothing else TVR related to do. I only live 2 miles away and I have all year membership to the house. So easy for me. There is plenty to do at Chatsworth if you like old stately houses and gardens.
I have suggested that a bbq, hog roast, Pistonheads stall, TVR T-shirts etc would help plu sgenerate £s.
There is a (new) annual Rally show there each year and they have cars racing round the estate. That would work !!! There is a good tarmac bit running from left to right BUT that would mean a lot of expense and control etc....
Maybe some of the suppliers like Track V Road, TCS, Wilder etc could set up stalls to take orders and generate interest in their products.

Does anyone else think that Cerbera owners, don't fit in with the rest of the TVR model range ?
I blame it on the helmet holder between the seats
Perhaps I'l fit in as my helmet holder is now full of speaker! Havent most other cerb owners owned other Tivs before though? (not me before you ask)

Was there anything to do/see there Gazz ?
I've seen some of the pictures, and it just looks like a load of cars parked in a field in front of a stately home.
Was there any more to it ?
Didn't like to say it, but this Chatsworth thing looks like a giant TVR car park full of IT project managers (not knocking the industry as that's what pays for my tanks of Vmax).I've seen some of the pictures, and it just looks like a load of cars parked in a field in front of a stately home.

On the other hand at least events like the Breakfast Club or Virginia Water involve all kinds of machinery and a diversity of folk from different backgrounds which makes it much more entertaining. At Goodwood you can rub shoulders with a variety of people from members of the aristocracy to hard core hot roders and drag racers.
Before you ask, the Cerbera is my first TVR, it was that particular model I was attracted to rather than the brand in general.
Erich - were you there? I didnt see one IT Project Manager type. They were generally not that ype, far from it. Pretty mixed bunch. All those TVRs was a great spectacle. Would be good if there was more to do/see (but then I live near to Chatsworth and so would run out of stuff to do pretty quick).

Ok, fair enough, twas only mild ribbing IT project manager bit, of course its a stupid generalization, however its funny how often when I look at the PH profile of most fellow TVR owners that's what most describe themselves as!I was quietly flying the southern flag having picked my Cerb up from Fernhurst Saturday morning. So my first trip and my first TVR meet.. Not knowing what to expect I was had a great weekend, but then I think that was something to do with my first couple of hundred miles as a Cerb owner mixed with the sight and sound of all those tiv's together...(Cerb's heading in and out definitely sounding the best) knowing that in the middle of all that lot was one owned by me!! At last... Always loved Tiv's - all models.. but only ever wanted a Cerb. To me there is just something I can't describe when looking at them .... that feeling of pure excitment.
I missed the Cerb parking area as didn't get there until about 12.15 but was great to see so many together... the classics all looked pretty cool too. I agree that for the regular meet goers there wasn't a lot of other stuff to do - I didn't care this time.. I was just walking around with a big grin all day and actually sort of looking forward to going home - so I could be behind the wheel again!
Met Clive (WIL 35) by chance after asking a newbie style question and pleased to find he lives not far away from me.. hope to meet a few more of you over the next while.
Regards
Simon

Ideas re Hog roast and trade stalls sound good. But you cannot detract from what the day was about. The accoutics around Chatsworth made every single arrival and departure a thrill.I've seen some of the pictures, and it just looks like a load of cars parked in a field in front of a stately home.

I personally would not drive up for the day, but do the whole dirty weekend thing again, as 400 miles in a day would reshape my posterior to Cerb seat shape for weeks. Some top notch pubs in the area, should not be missed.
