My car threw up a daft little problem today.
Basically, I parked at someones house and pulled on the handbrake 2 clicks ( about as far as i dare pull it!)
When I came away and it wouldnt click in to release - does bugger all anyway so drove home locally - I've taken the button and handle off and fiddled around, but cant get it to release and get the light out.
Any suggestions...?

At the base of the handbrake lever there is a small microswitch and target, make sure that they have not moved and still make contact, when the lever is down.

Sorted

Hadn't realised the gaiter just pulls out(well mine did anyway!) - once the mechanism was exposed I could see that the pivoty ratchet thingy had stuck.
A tap with hammer and screwdriver, some WD40, and its working like a good un again!

Missed a nice evening run though, arse! never mind, think of the petrol saved.....
