Passenger door has dropped a little. Any advice on aligning the doors. I've got a feeling it's going to awkward you chaps might have some good tips. I'm also thinking of upgrading the door seals which might meed shimming the hinges out a little. Any advice much appreciated.

You need to pull the carpet back inside the car to get to the back of the hinges which is where the vertical adjustment is.

Is there an adjustment mechanism or do you just loosen some bolts and lift the door into alignment?

Try to tighten the 17mm nuts (I think) on the nuts below the door hinge, They tend to work loose.

No adjustment mechanism, just two allen bolts for each hinge, as Ridds says, behind the interior carpet.

Make sure you use an allen key on an socket drive, the bolts can be V tight. I used a plastic wedge to set the door height while I did the bolts up.

It'll move a little (enough to throw the alignment out) when you jack the car up. TVR suggest to jack on the outriggers, which to me were never designed to take the weight of the car. I always get an axle stand in under the car as close to the main chassis rails when I need to get underneath.

It coud just be that it's been jacked at the rear a lot more and the outrigger is a little higher. The staightness of the side of the can is partially controlled by the outrigger.

It's fine today. I had jacked it up to work on the brakes. Maybe this upset the alignment slightly. Seems to have settled down OK.
