weird brake light problem
Discussion
Noticed on my way home today when stopped in a queue of traffic, it looked like the side lights were on. later on at a red light i glanced at the door button and it was illuminated green. weird I thought, didn't think I turned the lights on. lift of the brake pedal and the door button light goes out.
As it turns out, stepping on the brake pedal (and activating the brake light switch), for some reason, is turning on the side lights. any idea which box needs kicking?

wasn't the problem... did notice the fuse I pulled out was an 80 amp. It ended up being fixed after I unplugged the little dim/dip control box, which I guess reset the box.
be interested to know why it didn't reset even after having the battery disconnected for over 24 hours.
as a side note, I checked the fuses by using a ohm meter on them in situ... can't remember the exact number, but it was the only one returning greater the 2 ohms (190 or so) so I pulled it out to check and it only had 2 ohms resistance. plugged it back in and the cd-stack changer run through its little sequence. I wonder if that can be a cause of the continual draining of the batteries these cars have.
