TVR Events in Surrey/Kent for non-TVR owners to go to?
Discussion
Hi,
I've recently joined PH after lurking for several months. One of the most friendly & helpful forums I've ever come across.
The reason I'm posting is because for as long as I can remember I've wanted a TVR Cerbera as my dream car. I've read up on literally hundreds of pages of information on this forum & hopefully within the next year or so I will have enough money to buy one and maintain it to a high standard.
I was just wondering whether there are any TVR events that I can attend to gain some more information & to get some feedback from TVR owners as to what they are like to own etc.
I sat in a Tuscan & started the engine at a TVR dealer in Leicester when I went to ask him a couple of questions on servicing etc.) & was absolutely blown away by the noise but I've never been in a Cerbera (just longingly looked at one close up that the dealer had just sold)
If anyone could give me some information on events I would be allowed to attend I would be most grateful.
Matt.

Hi Matt,
The Surrey region monthly meet is on Thursday of next week (22nd) from 8pm onwards at the Woolpack in Elstead, if you'd like to join us. I have a Cerb and we have a number of other Cerb owners in the region too. As Paul says the TVRCC is not an owners club and it's quite normal for us to have potenital owners join us looking for advice, it's part of what we're there for after all. Since you're in Coulsdon, you might find popping along to the South East London and North West Kent region's meet is easier for you. I don't know when their meet is, although I do know they have moved venue recently, so hopefully someone will post soon who can tell you.
Cheers,
Steve.

Some
In Kent said Hi all
Please be aware that we have had our last Sunday meet at The Rose & Crown, Dunton Green. The venue has served us well over the years but its time to move on.
As a result, from the first Sunday in April our new meeting place for Sundays only will be The Woodman at Goadhurst Common, Ide Hill, Sevenoaks, TN14 6BU.
Many of you will know this pub well as we often use it for events that need more space, its only a few minutes drive from The RAC but the facilities, food & service are very much better.
We will be calling in there this Sunday (2nd March) for a while, but as of the first Sunday in April it will become our new 'official' haunt.
We expect to be at The RAC for our Monday meet in March, but in April we will be moving on to The Manor Farm Barn, New Barn Road, Southfleet,
DA13 9PU. This pub is also a regular haunt for many of us & is run by local TVRCC members Terry & Cathy.
Once again, its a great venue & I know it will work very well for us as a region.
These changes have been made after a long consultation with the local club members, & I know we are all really looking forward to our new 'homes'
Hope you can join us.
All the best
Nick
