Had the 4.5 for a few weeks now but I have an issue I need a bit of advice on please.
Every time my wife and I use the car to go out she feels sick after about 7 miles. She says it is the rough, bouncy ride that does it. It happens if I drive slowly too.
The car has got new shocks set to medium and tyres are about 25psi but the car does oscillate around the centre of the wheelbase and you do "bounce" up and down in the seat at legal road speeds on all but the smoothest roads (and there aren't many of them). I have noticed the bouncing but it doesn't affect me.
Is it a case that "they all do that" or should I fine tune things? Any advice welcome.
PS. I know some might think it great that the wife will not ride in car, but it will cut down on the amount I get to use it which is not good.

TVR suspension is essentially flawed and the compromises that exist with all suspension setup seem to be heightened on TVR's, not very sophisticated! I had mine set up firm, but it was too jarring and traction was lost, it's more compliant now, but wallows on uneven roads, although i can get the power down more readily. Just the challenges of varying road conditions that the poor old cerb has to struggle with!
I will check the make of damper tomorrow. Tyres are all 23 psi.
I get wheel-spin under hard acceleration in the dry when going over sharp irregularities in the road surface. I also get wheel-spin in 1st, 2nd and 3rd if its wet (as this afternoon) on smooth roads;)
The shocks were fitted 2k miles ago by TVR dealer so I would think they would have checked suspension at the time.
I think I will soften the dampers a bit to see if that helps in the absence of any other advice. It's a no cost option to start with.

Might be a bit late for you, but I'm meeting someone at Thrapston services ( near you ?) at 10.30 this morning, if you want to drive mine for a comparison.I get wheel-spin under hard acceleration in the dry when going over sharp irregularities in the road surface. Kind offer Russell but it's gone 10 now and I am only just reading this and besides my "chores" have already been allocated for today. Thrapston is about an hours run from me. Thanks for the offer.
I don't know what the spring are rated at. I will see if I can measure them too.
