Hi everyone,

Well, it's finally happened. After a decade of marraige we have a little one on the way smile but it means that my Tuscan has to go, furious therefore after much deliberation i have decided to buy a Cerbera (i did consider buying a Mustang but i can't leave the TVR fraternity after owning one for over 7 years)

First question - Will a new born fit in the rear seats with a child seat including isofix harnes etc etc fit? If so, does anyone know which seats fit best etc? I would be greatful for help here, as the car must fit our little future Nigel Mansell in (minus the tash obviously) biggrin

Second question (and most importantly), what mechanical things should i look for in the Cerbera to ensure it is a good one (are there any known things to check?, and should i go Speed 6, 4.2 or 4.5? I've had a Chimaera and a Tuscan, so i've knowledge of those cars, but i know nothing about Cerbs. confused

Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Many Thanks
Paul

Infants in Cerbs ARE doable but, IMO, not advisable as new borns. A rear-facing seat should only really go in the front (and its a bit cramped) with the Mrs in the back seat (near side).

From 9 months on a Recarro Start in the back with the extra cushion is the way forward.

Always buy a Cerb on condition/history NOT mileage and colour.

And a 4.5 (preferably in fastest yellowwink) is the only way to go hehe

They are rubbish for new borns. They have to go in the front.
They are really just about ok after 1yr in the rear in a recaro start fwd facing seat. Not sure if that seat meets recent regs. Once they are over 3 they wont be able to fit in the recaro as there wont be the leg room (without front seats fwd along way). They wont take standard boosters and so you will have to take them in the back illegally.
They are also pretty badly protected in the event of an accident. A side on will have no protection (and dont believe anyone who tells you differently).
They are also noisey so avoid sports exhausts and overrun fun with little uns on baord.

Yes don't get hung up on engine size unless you want to go around racing people. Just buy a good one that drives well and looks great and has been looked after.
