I have heard that by removing the CAT of my Cerbera 4.5, it will improve the sound of the 'fairly quiet' V8 considerably. Is this true, and if so, are they any reasons why it is not a good idea. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee

Sports pipes and a cat removal will cure all your
neighbours quiet days for sure (mine's at 110db!)

Naturally you 'may' need the cats back on for the MOT,
but some places don't pick up on it.

I did hear something about it's not good for the car,
but then again, it can't be that bad or so many places
would not be happy to remove them for you?!

If you do do it, just keep them safe and handy for the MOT...

Go create some weather...

Cerbs are pretty hard to get through the emmisions test with cats, let alone without! If you de-cat, they'll definately need the refitting at MOT time. If you don't want the hassle, then a decent set of sports pipes will certainly boost the noise level.

Had the cats taken out and straight through pipes fitted to my Cerb - AWESOME sound.

Made small children cry as you drove past
