Hi all. I have a number of stone chips on the front of the car. Wondered if anyone had any ideas other than a new paint job. I do not know what the correct colour term is but its a dark metalic blue, cheers guys.

I used to get mine done now & then.

However, you spend a few quid, drive home & find you've got another one.

A few people use armourfend (Thin bubble wrap smile), but IMO, I think it looks a mess.

I've had A bonnet spray, which is quite cheap, as they take it off, and don't have to mess about with masking. You'd be surprised how affective it is, as your eye is normally drawn to the bonnet chips & not the lower ones.

Russ, I actually considered looking into getting one of the carbon fibre bonnets that appeared on PH a while back and fitting it unpainted. Thought the black/CF against the yellow would look cool?

I like the idea of a bonnet only respray too. Rough cost?

Ewelme did it Fubes. I seem to recall getting a quote of about £200 & they did a cracking job.

I subsequently took the Purple car in for a polish & got charged about £350 yikes....My own fault for not asking for a quote.

I'd still recommend them, just get a quote first smile

I'm not sure about the Black bonnet...... However, at least if you try it first, we can all rip the pi55 out of ya biggrin

smile

Tell me about it, I'd took £300 out of the cashpoint, thinking I'd piss it, and ended up asking my dad to lend me some dough smile

Worth giving them a shout on the bonnet job though.
