Also, is the rover mini's wiper really rubish (apart from the max 110 degrees)?

The standard 29w is only just upto the job so a total waste of money going for the mini one at 14w.

I tried the mini route last year, not worth the effort.

I looked at the smaller motor, not worth the effort, go for the higher wattage.

Remove your Passenger side Wiper arm. you'll find the single wiper works much better, you don't need the passenger one.

Grrrr - Can't get the Piccy to display - But if you click on it it works (does when I do it)

They won't work without other modifications as the gear sizing is completely different, The sweep is controlled by the measurement of the drive arm pin in relation to the centre of the drive gear, you would need the wheel boxes from a mini too along with a modified gear.

The numbers 14w and 29w are not the wattage, its a model number, as there are the same armatures in various different incarnations of a Lucas wiper motor.

A while ago, I used to work for www.jlspares.com which is my uncle, rebuilding wiper motors accros the Lucas range so I know what I'm on aboutwink

My wiper is terrible, and I have tried to sort it out, but the armature needs a re-wind, and he has sold the wiper motor business to someone else that couldn't supply me with the parts.

Does anyone that has owned them from new know if they were really bad then?

If there is enough interest, I may look at reconditioning a few for fellow Cerb' owners, but I would need a minimum of 15 for getting the armatures re-wound to make it cost effective for us all

Adam.

Cerbera wiper motors are not the same as the ROver mini type. I gave out some duff information a few years back with this. It was due to me using my Mini wiper motor, motor only, to get the Cerbera back on the road - so I thought they were the same. Turned out that the Mini had been uprated at some point, and thats where my mistake came from.

Just to set the record straight folks.
