Just wondering if there's anything on the market.

To explain - when you get nuts and bolts and bits of metal off the car, is there anything that you can dip them in to bring them back up to nice condition. The example I was thinking of, is when you dip a penny in coca cola for half an hour and it comes out looking newish.

Any suggestions appreciated.

If its bits that are just oily/greasy then ive found aerosol brake/clutch cleaner fantastic stuff for the job. It blasts all the st off and air dries as well!

MArcus

Machine Mart do a small degreasing tank for £40.

They do grit blasters as well.

But just leave them soaking in diesel overnight to remove a lot of grime.

I'm sure Eastwoods , the mail order restoration lot, used to do something that turned the rust sort of black if you dipped them in it . Obviously after giving them a clean up and wire brush first.
