AA breakdown wARRAnty coupled with AA cover if car < 10 years old at outset - max. £500 claim x 5 times p.a. (less £25 xs). Can be quite useful as if you do a 'Search' you'll find people have claimed for clutch, cats, lambdas etc as well as the usual stuff....

Someone mentioned they have stopped taking TVR's but I started mine in February so not sure...

Still taking TVRs as I added policy 2 weeks ago. Will take them over 10 years too, but your premium goes up a bit! Still looks like good value though.

Simply a must have for the money... £65 for the year, but you must be a member first...

One word of warning, make sure you have Home Start cover also, because if you break down at home, and its an item the can be covered by the warrenty, the the AA will not send someone out to see the car, and hence you cannot then claim on your insurance.

I had this once with the alternater, phoned AA, said they cannot sent anyone out, as I didnt have home start, so I added Home Start while on the phone, and, would you belive it, they can now come out. Cost the AA £475 in the end...

LOL!

OTOH one thing that's a tad annoying with the AA is that they insist on sending a guy in a van to try and fix it first. I can see why they do it, but usually he takes one look and calls for the recovery truck (cue another hour's wait). If you're unlucky he'll spend an age trying to fix it first. Still, the free money compensates smile

Btw they also do a year's European repatriation cover for £95 which is worth considering if you do a few sorties to the continent.
