I guess you've not been reading the spoiler thread currently running right now?

Not good timing perhaps then to be making this post!

I loved this car when it came out and i still love it now! worth the money? to someone somewhere maybe but i doubt it. But it's still a great looking car .. wouldn't want to own it though just because of what 99% of cerbera owners would think of me hehe

There was a motoring program on last night about motorists and all the stuff they do etc. The guy who had kitted out that convertible Audi, is the guy who owns Charisma IIRC.

When I were a lad, he did a max power Renault 5 Turbo.

Fantastic workmanship, looks awful IMO.

96 4.2 Cerb, book value £10,000

Thing is......

How much is it going to cost to put it right.....back to normal..... ?

If it fetches more than £5K, i'd be shocked smile

people forget the cerb was done back in the days when fast car was still (just about) a tuning mag, and it was off the back of stuff like this that jamie got his pimp my ride work for tv. no-one had really modded a cerb before, it was way before any of the tuning work on engines was taking place and cerbs were still fetching high money so nobody wanted to get involved modding them much anyway. The carisma cerb certainly shook the cerb establishment and was on many a magazine front cover at the time (10 years ago?). It's still causing controversy even now! As a piece of marketting it got a lot of people talking so worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure jamie hasn't looked back since smile

Painted Titanium Grey or Pearl Black it would look altogether more appealing. It's a well known car that has been looked after, it won't fetch £40k, nearer £25k to the right buyer.

Coming from the spoiler thread...... This car also gets a mention on the barryboys site.

From memory, the car was quoted as having 400 bhp & 150 bhp from the NOS

Didn't realise it was a 4.2, always assumed it was a 4.5

I agree, the car is nothin but an advertising stunt to show off what Camisra can do. The amount of time/work/effort and cost that went into the car was probably very high but i bet it done his buisness the world of good. Like trackcar said its things like that that landed him in with MTV/Pimp my ride etc!!

Alot of very short sighted people on here, more than likey the same people lack imagination and that stick to the same old tradition of putting 'spiders' on there cerb!!

As it happens, a vented bonnet improves air flow through the radiator and reduces drag by reattaching the flow to the windscreen where it should be. It might look naff but it's a sound concept for a fast car.

If it was good enough for the GT40, it should be good enough for a Cerb??

Actually on closer inspection, that car doesn't seem as bad as it used do.

What's changed on it ?

Those air filters are a good idea. Suck in all the hot air from the engine bay rather than cool air from outside. Wonder why TVR never thought of that. rolleyes

I couldn't find a smilie for sarcasm :-)

Indeed, that mod would be marginal at best in a steel-bodied car... hehe
