I came back from work today parked on the drive and a car pulled up behind me, initially i thought id probably annoyed somebody with my obnoxiously loud exhaust or warp speedwink but the guy introduces himself and says his mate used to work for TVR and if i ever needed anything doing or any advice to give him a call! and he gives me his number.
I recognised this guys plate and he only lives down the road, apparently his mate lives in Halesowen. May come in useful at some point.
Strange how cars make people want to talk to you.

new starter motor ive had has some problem, (wont stop whirring sometimes after starting, have to rush and pull the power from the battery to try and stop it, then give it a few whacks! - gotta get it rebooked in again), this caused me to have to pull over in hitchin on saturday and bonnet up, within 5 minutes, an ex-tvr owner whose had a variety of tvr models behind him stopped, offered me help etc, and had a lengthy chat. It's the kind of comradery I usually associate with the biker community, rarely notice it amongst car owners, even enthusiasts.

made up for the inconvenience of the breakdown!
