After getting it properly wet yesterday the electrics are playing up. Drivers door and boot won't open. Passenger door OK.

Worked once to get car out of garage but when I tried to get out the door wouldn't open. Had to use the cable pull.

Any suggestions please.

Your door elecs are rotted. First of all open the boot if you know how ;-) Then remove the connections on the black box for doors/windows.Leave disconnected for 30 secs, reconnect. That should reset your problem.
Next on the list, remove door cards, (very easy approx 6 allen key bolts). Get to the wires which some brain-box in TVR decided to leave sitting in the bottom of the door surrounded in water.
Clean the connections or replace them, they`re not that expensive. Then clean/replace the wires/connections to the magnetic door sensor.
Check all drainage holes make sure they`re clear, I added a few more with a 6mm drill bit.
Put all back together and you`ve just saved yourself £300 at a autoelectricians.
Whilst you have the door cards off retrim them and get rid of that tweed!

I had a problem which caused the boot and drivers door not to open - turned out to be one of the fuses. Unfortunately the fuseboard diagram in the owners manual didn't match what was in the car. I now have the 'glow' fuses so should be easier next time!

Thanks for the info guys. I will call the dealer this morning to find out how to get in if this happens again. I need to get into the boot to check the fuses.

I have never seen "glow" fuses. What are they?

Steve heath sells them as a kit for the car or packs of a few. They glow via a small led when they blow so help you identify which one has gone.

Talking of doors not opening...my passenger door wont open now. Previously you had to wiggle the button on the wing mirror a bit to get to open so I guess this is the problem. How do I get it off and where can I get replacements??

Thanks,

Mark
