Went to Vmax today
Discussion
did 182mph, it maxed out about two thirds down the straight at 6200rpm, it needed a 6th gear to go any faster...but, it was about THE fastest thing to the first corner, which was not far off a halfish mile launch to 130+mph, it out accelerated a RUF porsche, Ferrari Scudy whatever, GT2 porsche, to name a few! Really thought i was done for when lined up next to some of that tackle, so i was really suprised give £200k cars alook at the back end!

Result! I see it as a british-american RUF style conversion...

I reckon a well sorted 4.5 AJP would also do the marque similar justice, its just a case of one of the mapped/induction/exhausted lot getting out there! - May be us next time...

If I understand this right anyone who has a heart transplant has to change their name? Its the same princible,[spelling is not my strong point]an engine change does not change the identity of a car.In fact in this case it enhances it.Just my opinion I say WELL DONE BRUMMIE you have done a great job with that car!!

A bit of a silly analogy that. One is a human being, and the other a piece of metal. Many feel on this forum that the heart and soul of a Cerbera is the crackling AJP8. And I am inclined to agree.
If you put a super charged Rover V8 in a Ferrari 360, would it still be the same machine? No. Because it wouldn't sound like one approaching. And thats what tells most sports cars apart and gives them their identity.
But, kudos to Brummie for building what he did. A great achievement.
Brummie,
Firstly good to meet you today.
Secondly, thanks for the ride
Your Cerb was superb! It was easily one of the best launching cars of the day and most definitely one of the quickest (albeit not top end due to gearing). The run against the RUF Porsche (always the quickest at Vmax) was very impressive, holding him off the line and into the bend, it was only coming out of here that he got the upper hand and he didn't get far away from you at all. The run we had (me passenger) against the Ferarri F430 Scuderia was also very impressive, you out launched him and and held him by a few lengths into the bend, it was only here that he caught you but after that you pulled a gap again and held station to the line.......superb. Spec for the F430 Scud is 1250kgs and 510bhp, the car is also race prepped with massive carboceramic brakes etc, my friend in the F430 was astounded at how well it took the bend, but that's what you'd expect of it.
Very impressed with your car, the engine transplant is superbly well done, can't wait to see what it's like with the new lump in.....
Roll on Fighting Torque 2....
Jules.
ps....don't forget to sort the bonnet

Ah yes the bonnet....it looks like the strengthening bars have delaminated, out with the fibreglass kit this week, i thought the gaffer tape and cable ties added to the aesthetics nicely, and youre concern at the one side letting go at 180mph was quite amusing!!Firstly good to meet you today.

In race terms it would be a 'silhouette'.
Have to agree, with the sentiment. Well done, but without an AJP it's not a Cerb'.
