Is it me or is there an awful lot of TVR's suddenly on the market especially cerbs?

This is summer after all the best time to buy a TVR.

Is the credit crunch, housing market, fuel prices and new road tax having an effect on your average TVR owner, forcing sales?

Your probably correct.

Filled up both my cars last week! £130!
One is now empty, but the Cerb is ready for the run to Le Mans.

A youngster at work wants a Fiat Panda!! FCSake!
Poor lads been brain washed by loony eco warriors!
When I was his age I wanted something with GT on the back!

59 Cerbs in the PH classifieds at the moment.

It's been there or thereabouts since I joined PH.

Was down to 30 or so in the winter and around 70 or so when I was looking in 2006.

I think this is only just the beginning. With real inflation running at about 4 times what the government will admit to and people starting to loose their jobs it will get a lot worse before it gets better IMO.

I doubt it, their less money to buy that a 1 year old Ford Focus...

It may be the running cost, especially if their used every day

I just need the garage space, and I won't leave it sat on the driveway whilst I'm in the States so it needs to find a new home.

I'll be back in 12 months for another smile

If its a bargain you're after, try this one

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/414805.htm

Ive even got it on Ebay with no reserve so someone could end up with a bargain, a sorted Cerb and a few grand in the bank to bring it up to mint condition smile

Hi Steve, thanks for your link. I'm actually watching it on Ebay - just very unsure of the colour. If you have any better shots of the interior I'd appreciate them. Send me a list of the bad bits with photo's and we can go from there. You're not even that far away too - as I'm only in St.Helens

I think you'll find more than 59 for sale currently and as I’ve been looking for a cerb for the past few months (not an invitation to post adverts) I can confirm the amount being sold is unusually high, especially as its summer.
Selling a cerb in spring/summer is like selling your cricket bat in July, it’s just not done.

So conclusion a very distressed market as estate agents would say and that means prices going down for the poor old seller.

Isn't it the other way around ?

The time to sell a sports car/Convertible is in the summer.
