Just replied in another thread about how I have to sit with the seat all the way forward just to reach the pedals, which got me thinking, does anyone have the seat all the way back? (and if so, how tall are you!?)

Surely you must be driving a la High Tower from Police Academy!! (And no, I'm not like the female policewoman that just squeaks a lot!!)

Short r'shehe

Can't think of a car I have not driven with seat all the way back. 6'3.5"

Not sure if my build is normal regarding leg measurements. Not been noted for looking like crazy-legs-crane, but always a first

Hang on hang on hang on...... I'm a bit of a 'gangloid'...35" leg..... And with the seat all the way back, I can't get near the pedals.

Are you sure the previous owner hasn't wound the pedals out on your car ? smile

I always sit with the seat right forward so that I can make sure that I can press the clutch and accelerator right into the floor!!!

However, I do have the seat tilted back a lot so that I can see out of the windscreen

Slightly off topic, but my passenger seat does not go as far back as the drivers seat and 6ft+ people can bareley get their legs in. I presume this is normal as the passenger seat hits the stop.

My driver's seat is about one click away from fully back, so the seat behind me is only suitable for weebles.

I drive mine with the seat fully forward so I can press the clutch to the floor with ease and I'm 5'10

as said before, for best visibility and to view the oil pressure gauge I'm a bit more reclined than I'd like to be

Iam sure the passenger seat goes futher forward than the drivers aswell, cerb's arnt a 2+2 there a 3+1 seating arrangement. I presume this to mean 3 adults and 1 small person

You probably already know this......But it took me a couple of months to find the lever paperbag

But have you tried adjusting the steering rake/height ?

In answer to the question in the subject line - yes I have driven with the seat all the way back. It frightened the life out me.

Happened accelerating onto a roundabout.
The adjuster arm must have worked loose and then it jammed open, step on the gas, car moves forward, I don't until the seat hits its stops by which time I have missed the gear change and can't get the clutch all the way in to get it back into gear because the seat is moving around on its runners.
I was coming away from the Keevil track day yesterday and I thought I had had my day's share of brown trouser moments.

Now when I get back in I'm making sure the adjuster arm is locked into the runner and that I can't move the seat.

Ha, Not heard the old "Gangloid" quote since being in the Army, cracks me up!lol.

I have my seat 1 notch forward from the back, mainly as if I have it all the way back it's kinda like me admitting I'm super tall (and Gangloid!) so if it's 1 notch back then I'm OK.

Only 5"10" here, but always drive with the seat all the way back, with the Niki Lauda "straight arms" position.

Except when I had the Cerb. I don't know if some previous lanky owner had the pedals adjusted all the way forward, but I ended up with the seat one click off the front stops.
