Birmingham to North France 26mpg, caught speeding at 92mph
Northern France to Le Mans, steady 80mph 22mpg
Le Mans to Folkestone, 295 miles, 25mpg caught speeding at 110mph

The moral of the story... SPEED !!!!

Oh.......hang on a minute paperbag

Be interesting to see if the French police contact the British end and you end up with two lots of points on your licenceeek

How much were the fines?

£60 for the uk & 135€ for the French one.

I've had a good run.... five years of daily driving a Cerb with a clean license was always going to come to an end one day.

The French have kept my license, so it'll be interesting to see what they've done to it. "Should" be back in 30 days smile

Roll on the Spa-Ring trip smile

Guildford -> Montpellier and back via Germany (2,400 miles) mostly ~90mph, 404 litres = 27mpg smile. I used to get 22mpg before the remap. Snapped twice, both in Switzerland, neither too serious, hopefully nothing will come of it.. frown

MPG figures

Maidstone to Folkestone = no idea
Calais to LeMans = don't care
LeMans to Calais = the less the better
Folkestone to Maidstone = anything is better than nothing

ps If I were to admit to my max MPH running with a GT3 would it be used against me in court?

Gawd knows my MPG for Le Mans (about a tank each way between Boulougne and LM whatever that works out at), but if it makes you feel any better Russ I got rogered twice in about 30 mins on the way home by les flics. 90Euros a pop, first one for speeding (145 in a 110), second one for overtaking on a solid white.. doh!

We met a very nice lady at the Chunnel who told us her local plod took 14,000 euro of the lads last year and were up-for-it again this year.
So take it easy lads she said!

So we did! 130kph all the way.

MPG? - must have been loads! (I'll work it out and edit tomorrow).

But I have to admit to reducing the MPG a bit on the M26 on the way home!!

Does anybody do little Porker Turbo stickers with a line through them?
Like the ones they used to have on WW2 Bombers?? Ha-Ha!

Durham-Dover 350 miles, one tank giving 26mpg at 90-100 all the way. (This was better than my Navara Pickup 23mpg average). I was quite impressed with this seeing as we had some spiritted driving in between. fuel enconomy in France was not so good as we took all the back roads to avoid the local plod which nearly worked! I got stopped as soon as it was my turn to take the lead for over taking to close to a corner while breaking the speed limit and cutting in front of the plod panda. She pointed out that the speed signs were in KPH not mph and let me off. All my receipts are in € without the volume so cant work out over MPG.
