I've always run my cars from full to empty, but with Vpower prices as they are at the moment I haven't got the balls to any more, so am putting £30-odd in my Cerb at a time.

So, my question is, what's the most anyone's spent on a tank recently. Gotta be £80+ these days?

Just put £40 of super unleaded in mine, took it to just over 1/2 full,so £80 aint far off the mark!

Normally refill when I get to the 1/4 tank mark.

Vpower was out of stock on Saturday around here, so didn't fill up until Monday and managed £74 @ £1.20 a litre.

Couldn't help but notice on the Le Mans trip, that the French charge over £1.30 a litre for their premium stuff. That along with the £40 tolls I paid, makes me wonder if we're as hard done by, as people sometimes make out smile

£110.31 is the most I have spent to fill up so far and I use a tankfull a week at the moment. However, that is diesel in my Discovery. The Cerbera I seldom let get below 1/4 tank as I am not sure how accurate the guage is so only about £65 so far.

According to the manual, the fuel gauge is accurate and does not leave you with any reserve. Basically, when it says you've nothing left, you've nothing left unlike most cars which give you a gallon to get home/a petrol station when the needle says you're out.

I used to drive mine until I felt the tank was nearing empty, then I'd note how many litres it took to fill-up. Over time I noted that 220 miles was about all I dared chance. I went by mileage rather than the gauge, although the gauge always acted as confirmation.

Got £87 in the Audi 2 weeks ago!!!

But I did get some £116.9/ltr 95 last Sunday and Diesel was 139.9 at the same station!!

That is 13p a litre more, 11.12% more.

So the economy of a small petrol car must be getting closer to smog boxes??

By the way diesel fumes contain lots of Nitrogen Dioxide which is one of the most lethal gasses going!
So don't breath in that black cloud from the BEEMER exhaust as the deluded ecomentalist boots it, drop back a bit lads n lasses!
Am I the only one who hates following smog boxes because they make me fell ill??

Honnest officer its the reason I dropped to 3rd and shot past him!!

Yep it's the same in Belgium. Paid £1.27 for normal 95 octane last week with super about 7 pence more per litre.
