Hello all,

As in title, all not working.

The windscreen wipers did work and then stopped in the middle of the screen.

The wash facility is still working.

The full beam dash light was working now isn't.

The drivers door button (inside) wasn't working, then it was and now it isn't again.

F******g B******s

Are all these connected in any way?

The buttons on the steering wheel all work, as the full beam comes on, the horn works and the widscreen wiper box can be heard clicking away merrily.

Cheers

Do the wipers move if you give them a nudge? The motor is inherently st laugh and mine has given up being able to move both wipers so I've removed one.

This is particually annoying when something in the wheel wiring causes the wipers to come on when you turn hard right....

It sounds as you might have a problem with the ribbon cable behind the steering wheel. At least the problems with full beam and wipers. Had that problem the day before MOT 2 years ago, it became a long night in the garage but I solved the problem. If it is the ribbon cable, the buttons could work and at the next moment not work, depending of the position of the steering wheel. Check all the connections that go to the boxes that are behind the steering column.

Drivers door button, I would take the inner panel of the door off and clean everthing inside the door, then take all connectors apart and clean them. On my car one of the connectors where that bad that I had to change it for a new one.
It might be the button itself, it can be tested with a ohmmeter when you have the door panel off.

Ribbon cable maybe, but you only mention dash light not actual headlight.

Sounds like a collection of niggles to me. W/W park switch, bulb and dodgy button connections

Just a thought.... a while ago I bought one of those stty TVR ciggie lighters off Fleabay and when I put it in it blew a couple of fuses (not even ones related to the items that stopped working, or in the case of the headlights, wouldnt turn off!).

May be worth a nosey round the fuse box?

Well, the TVR fairy has been at work overnight.

Got in the car this morning and they were all working again bar the door.

Flamin' car drives me round the bend sometimes.

You need to check that Ribbon Cable Marcus - What happens is that the insulation cracks, or wears through, and it will just keep giving intermittent faults. Takes 5 mins to check it - remove the steering wheel and have a look.
