Well I was dubious it would be ready in time but I picked up the Cerb from Tony Gilbert on Thursday night and then drove to the Le Mans Classic on Friday returning yesterday.

I think Tony was not too keen on my taking it straight on a long trip but as it had a full service and warranty I felt confident nuts

I did have one problem - starting the car from hot. Seems like it had no juice in the battery as the engine is very slow turning over. However, it has had a new battery and alternator last week and starter in January. Reckon its the starter motor?

Apart from that just a few minor things - I broke off the bonnet stay clip and the end fell off the engine cover securing rod. The indicator noise is very annoying so hope to get this turned off/down.

Overall though I love the car - so much more of an event to drive than the Griff. Then there's the noise it makes...

Mine did this last year on the 'ring trip. Just left it for half hour and then it started fine. I have since taken off the starter motor and given a service, no problems since, but not had it baking hot since either...

Sounds like you've been exploring the upper reaches of the mighty AJP8 already then?? thumbup

Glad you're enjoying it - I've not yet been in a car that feels anything like as much of an event as the Cerb... I'd guess few cars short of a Pagani Zonda/ CGT/ Enzo/ Diablo/ Murci(?) would. biggrin

must agree there - it runs my Diablo close and on performance/£ blows it away!

These cars are A LOT more reliable than they are given credit for.
