Tuscan pedals in LS1 Cerb
Discussion
I've got bored ripping the heart and soul out of my Cerb and fitting gear which isn't going to break so I bought a set of Tuscan pedals off ebay from Bell Hill Garage.
At 5ft 7" I've always struggled to get a good driving position, the seat has to be all the way forward and even with the Leven extension pedals it wasn't ideal. The idea is to bolt a metal plate to the chassis underneath the drivers foot well and come up with some kind of adjustment arrangement for the pedal box.

The box fits well in the Cerb footwell, the aluminium surround needs to be cut down to fit though. They're just sitting in there at the mo, its more a job once the body is back on. I don't think I'll need to cut a hole in the end of the drivers footwell as they seem to sit in the same place I had the original pedals But its not a problem if I have to.

Its going to make overhauling the clutch and brake master cylinder easier and I can get rid of the stupidly long throttle pedal movement. Connections into the original system don't look too bad, there's a bulk head coupling which the original cyclinder screw into, and the brake pipes screw into the other side inside the wheel arch.

Cheers
Rich.

Hi Rob, been busy but body and chassis are not one yet.
Chassis and suspension are all painted now, just started putting it back together. Overhauled the steering rack, hence the other thread and I'm in the process of rebuilding the diff with its new 3.08 ratio!!
Doesn't sound much but its a lot of work. Heres a couple of shots of the garage.

You can see the back of the blower, the diff in bits on the floor and the rear hubs freshly painted!! I know I know, I need to tidy up

Suspension should turn up this week, you never know I might be able to push it around at the weekend.

I seem to remember that with this type of setup that some special valves are needed to prevent the hydraulic fluid flowing back into the reservoirs because they are now lower than the slave cylinders. Definitely worth checking as the last thing you will want is brake fluid inside the footwell!
